FAQ (Frequently asked questions)
- Do you teach in-person?
I only teach online via zoom.
What are some benefits of virtual lessons?
- You'll be able to learn at your own pace in your own space, save money on lessons, save time to and from a studio, and have a overall deeper learning experience.
- How do online lessons work?
I format my lessons just as if they were in-person, online is great for sharing music on the spot and being able to play musical learning games with my students.
- How many lessons should my child be taking a week?
One lesson a week is perfect.
- What ages do you teach?
I teach ages 4 and up, for 4-6 years old I recommend 15 minute lessons.
- How do I make payments?
I take payments at the beginning of the month in full via mymusicstaff.com
Studio Policy
Student Expectations:
Each student is to arrive promptly to each lesson with all necessary materials in hand (music, lesson books, pencil, etc). Students are expected to devote regular practice time between lessons. This varies by student, but 2-3 practice sessions per week is a good rule of thumb.
Missed Lessons:
There are no credits for missed lessons. Please let me know if you will miss your lesson at least a day in advance. I do makeup lessons on Fridays, please contact me for a time. No refunds shall be given for missed lessons for any reason.
Disenrollment:
Please let me know 2 weeks in advance of disenrollment.
Payment: Payments are made in full monthly by the end of the first week of the month. Since some months have less or more weeks than others, payments may vary each month (example: 4 weeks for 30 minute lessons is 120$, 5 weeks is 150$). All lessons are pre-paid, this guarantees your spot for the lesson on said day/time. Tuition for lessons is paid by the month or the session. All lessons are pre-paid, you must pay before the lesson to secure your spot for the day. I take payment via mymusicstaff.com (you will be emailed your login once contract is submitted).
By signing up for lessons you are agreeing to the Spring 2023 policy and will also be sent a contract.
