Ms. Safiya Ali, also known as Safi Ali, is a inspirational individual. She is a vocalist, performer, conductor and educator. She has been studying music since the age of 8 starting on her grandparents organ. She has now played piano for 17 years and has been studying voice for 12 years. Miss Ali is a recent graduate of Jacksonville University with a Bachelor's in Music Education and most recently a graduate of The University of Central Florida with a Masters of Art in Music. Ms.Ali has been teaching private piano and voice lessons to all ages for 5 years. Currently, she is a Music teacher in St. Johns County.
My Teaching Philosophy
My role as an educator is to provide a safe environment for all my students so that they can learn and grow their own musical skills and abilities. I believe that I should be a role model to my students so that they can grow up to become not only professional musicians but good people.
I believe that I am morally obligated to my students in that I should equally hold them all to high standards and expectations. I think this because I believe that no student should be disregarded, that no student should be left behind. I want to maximize the positive impact that I make on my students lives. My principle of being morally obligated to my students will help me manage my classrooms learning environment because if everyone understands that they are all being held to the same high expectations they will know that we are all learning together rather than by themselves.
